About Me

Self Portrait
I am a mixed media artist living in rural Southwestern Wisconsin.

I have always loved to draw, especially portraits and figure studies. A number of years ago I took a collage class and caught the mixed media bug. Since then my art explorations have included collage, assemblage, altered books, and mixed media jewelry and fiber arts. While my first love is still representational graphite drawing, I can’t resist the fun of mixing up traditional art materials with found objects, decidedly unconventional art materials, and various craft techniques. Hopefully along the way I occasionally create something that intrigues people or perhaps makes them smile.

I am a former board member of Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts, a not-for-profit arts and crafts school in Mineral Point, WI where I now volunteer on the Curriculum Committee. I also served for nine years on the board of WRAA (now the Association of Wisconsin Artists), which provides statewide workshops and exhibits for non-professional artists.

See the Shows Tab above for a list of current and recent past exhibits of my work.
